ALEXANDRIA BAY Attendance at Boldt Castle was down about 1.8 percent for the 2013 season from the year before, according to newly released data.
A total of 187,485 people visited the castle from May to October, 3,445 fewer than the 190,930 who visited during the 2012 season.
The decline in attendance equaled $13,793 in revenues, or 1.1 percent.
The attendance numbers were provided during the Thousand Islands Bridge Authority meeting Wednesday.
Boldt Castle facilities director Shane K. Sanford attributed the decline in attendance to inclement weather during the opening weeks of the season.
