OGDENSBURG An Ogdensburg Free Academy guidance counselor was arrested Tuesday afternoon when she was found in her car parked on the road with a blood alcohol content more than three times the legal limit.
State police charged Kimberly A. Dishaw, 43, of Ogdensburg, at 2 p.m. with aggravated driving while intoxicated. Police said she was parked on Monkey Hill Road, Oswegatchie.
Ms. Dishaw had a BAC of 0.28 percent, according to police. The states legal threshold for intoxication is a BAC of 0.08 percent. A person is charged with aggravated DWI when the BAC measures 0.18 percent or greater.
State police said she also was cited with drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle and parking in the road.
Ogdensburg City School Superintendent Timothy M. Vernsey said he was aware of the situation but could not comment because it is a personnel matter.
Ms. Dishaw is scheduled to appear Dec. 4 in Oswegatchie Town Court.
