Aircraft veer off course from time to time

I have been reading about the lost drone that went down in Lake Ontario recently. The New York Air National Guard, the Air Force and the Coast Guard are looking for it. I believe that this drone is the size of a small airplane. I also believe that airplanes that crush into the water tend to sink unless they are sea planes.

When I was a teenager in Skaneateles, a fighter plane went into the lake and sank like a rock. A friend was stationed at White Sands proving grounds in New Mexico in the later 1950s. Rockets tended from time to time to go off course. One rocket went missing, and it was rumored that a village in Mexico called in and said a rocket had crashed into the village cemetery.

They say that history repeats itself. If so, they should look for the drone in Davy Jones’s locker.
