Cody Ayers scored the tying goal on the power play and Tim Richter followed with the deciding tally with 28.4 seconds remaining in regulation as the Danbury Whalers rallied for a 4-3 victory over the Watertown Privateers on Friday night in a Federal Hockey League game at Watertown Municipal Arena.

Goalie Mike Brown stopped 27 of 30 shots faced to earn the win for the Whalers (4-2).

Andrew Harrison, Dustin Skinner and Dane Erickson each scored a goal for the Privateers (2-4).

Watertown goalie Matt Anthony finished with 44 saves.
