Sally Barstow Evans, 71, of Forney, TX died Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at her residence. The Massena, NY native was a Registered Nurse for over fifty years, serving as Director of Nursing for Wichita General Hospital, Methodist Dallas Medical Center, and Southern Nevada Memorial Hospital, Las Vegas, NV. She was a Methodist and member of the Honor Society of Nursing, Delta Theta Chapter University of Texas Arlington, where she earned her Masters degree in 1985. She was the daughter of the late Raymond J. Barstow and Helen Harris Barstow. She graduated from Massena Central High School in 1960 and was a 1966 graduate of Plattsburgh State University College with a Bachelors of Science degree in Nurse-Teacher Education. She was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys.

She is survived by her husband of forty-six years, Robert Dale Evans, Forney, TX; two step-sons: Bruce C. Evans and wife, Tracy, Grand Rapids, MI and Troy Dale Evans, Pekin, IL; three brothers: Fred Barstow and wife, Doffie, Portland, ME; Russell Barstow and wife, Rosanne, Massena, NY; Tom Barstow and wife, Gail, Durham, NH; two nieces: Polly Barstow Wanzer and Michelle Barstow Franklin; six nephews: Brewer Barstow, Christopher Barstow, David Barstow, Erik Barstow, Brian Barstow and Thomas Barstow; four sisters-in-law: Norma Evans Stein and husband, Wes, Menifee, CA; Sandra Lee Shults and husband, Ron and Wanda Kay Haulk and husband, Howie, all of Manito, IL; Sherry Lynn Evans, Pekin, IL; one brother-in-law: Mike Evans and wife, Peggy, Manito, IL; and several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one step -son: Faron Evans and one step-daughter: Denise Kay Evans.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, November 24, at Woods Cemetery, Fountain Run, Kentucky, with J. Lewis Bewley officiating.
