POTSDAM — Katherine Allis Skiff and Matthew Kevin Francis, both of Winthrop, were married at 2 p.m. Oct. 12 at First Presbyterian Church, Potsdam, with the Rev. Kathleen Buckley, St. Lawrence University chaplain, officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Danford N. and Emily C. Skiff. The groom is the son and stepson of Michael Francis, Winthrop, and Beth Yandoh and William White, Brasher Falls.

Amanda Filiatrault, Farmington, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Sara Hayes, Winthrop, and Shannon Flanagan, Fayetteville. Alaina Walker, Great Falls, Va., cousin of the bride, was flower girl.

Jon Gibson, Edwards, was best man. Groomsmen were Matthew Skiff, Reading, Pa., brother of the bride, and Eric Palmer, Norfolk. Andrew Walker III, Great Falls, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.

A reception was held at Dar’s Restaurant, Massena. The couple spent a week-long honeymoon in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Mrs. Francis graduated in 2002 from Hugh C. Williams Senior High School, Canton, in 2006 from Elmira College, in 2009 from SUNY Plattsburgh, with a master’s degree and certificate of advanced study in school psychology, and in 2013 from Massachusetts College of Arts, North Adams, Mass., with a master’s degree in educational administration. She is a school psychologist for the Brasher Falls Central School District.

Mr. Francis graduated in 2000 from St. Lawrence Central School, Brasher Falls, and is enrolled in a mechanics apprenticeship at Alcoa, Massena. He has been employed at Alcoa since 2004.

The couple resides in Winthrop.
