MANNSVILLE — Mr. and Mrs. Donald R. Davis, 501 Lincoln St., will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends at a later date.

Mr. Davis, son of Donald E. Davis, Watertown, and the late Sylvia Williams, and Lucinda “Cindy” Miller, daughter of the late Harold and Ellen Miller, were married Oct. 6, 1963, in Mannsville with the Rev. Miles Hutchinson officiating.

Mr. Davis graduated from Mannsville-Manor High School and received an associate degree from Jefferson Community College, Watertown. He served as an E5 in the Army for three years and retired from Anheuser-Busch in 2000. He enjoys old cars, traveling, camping and elk hunting in Colorado.

Mrs. Davis graduated from high school in Mannsville. She worked in data processing in Syracuse and was a licensed practical nurse in Watertown for the House of the Good Samaritan (later Samaritan Medical Center), and did phlebotomy for insurance companies. She was a nursing substitute for local schools and a physician’s office nurse. She has been a member of Mannsville Rescue Squad for 20 years and a former member of the Mannsville firemen’s auxiliary. Mrs. Davis enjoys gardening, quilting, genealogy, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

The couple has two sons, Christopher, Denver, and Eric, Syracuse; two daughters, Lyndsey Mathewson, Denver, and Meggan Rau, Cape Girardeau, Mo.; three grandsons and three granddaughters.
