Catherine J. Chipp, 42, of 409 Clay St., Apt. 3, was charged by Watertown police at 10:15 p.m. Friday with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.
It is alleged that on Sept. 29 she had a small plastic envelope containing a white powder on a dresser in her bedroom. The powder was tested at a state police crime laboratory, which resulted in a positive test for cocaine, police said.
It further is alleged that she possessed a small amount of marijuana at the time of her arrest. She is due answer both charges in City Court.
