“Kaleidoscopic” dance programs at SUNY Potsdam

POTSDAM — The SUNY Potsdam Department of Theatre and Dance will present “Kaleidoscopic,” two programs of original choreography created and performed by students, Friday through Sunday at Dunn Hall Dance Theater on campus.

Performances of “Concert A” will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday. “Concert B” will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday. Doors will open 30 minutes prior to each performance.

Fourteen SUNY Potsdam students either majoring or minoring in dance have choreographed 20 dance works to be performed by 40 dancers. Styles from jazz to ballet and contemporary to tap dance will be represented.

Each concert will run about one hour and 15 minutes, with a single intermission. Tickets are free for SUNY Potsdam students with ID and $5 for general admission. They will be available at the door one hour before each performance.
