DWI - MASSENA - Village police charged Charlene D. Rose, 59, of 19 Monaco Crescent, Cornwall, Ont., with aggravated driving while intoxicated and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle and ticketed her for making an unsafe lane change following a traffic stop at 8 p.m. Sunday on state Route 37. She reportedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent, the threshold that elevates a DWI count to the more serious aggravated DWI offense. Rose was released on an appearance ticket for Jan. 17 in Massena Village Court.
BENCH WARRANT - MASSENA - Village police picked up Charles J. Schloer, 31, of Brasher Falls on a bench warrant charging him with failing to appear in court as directed on a pending disorderly conduct charge. Schloer was turned over to the Massena Police Department by St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Police. He was arraigned by Massena Village Justice Eric J. Gustafson and released on his own recognizance pending a future court appearance.
UNSAFE BACKING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Edward B. Epprecht, 46, of Brasher Falls with unsafe backing following a minor property damage accident at 4:32 p.m. Sunday on East Orvis Street.
INADEQUATE TAIL LIGHTS - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Aaron J. Hannah-Murray, 34, of Water Street, Massena, for operation of a vehicle with inadequate tail lights at 5:18 p.m. Sunday following a traffic stop on Parker Avenue.
