CANTON — A Rensselaer Falls woman is charged with theft of services after she was accused of paying her cable bill through a fake bank account.

Village Police arrested Angela L. McCormick, 37, of 106 Cornelia St., Rensselaer Falls, on Saturday and charged her with 12 counts of misdemeanor theft of services.

After an investigation conducted with Time Warner Cable officials, police said that from September 2012 to March, Ms. McCormick had been residing at 21 State St., where she allegedly had been paying her Time Warner Cable bills using fictitious bank account numbers and names.

She was issued tickets for Town Court.
