OGDENSBURG — Traffic was stalled Tuesday evening on Route 37 today after two cars collided at the intersection with Stone Church Road in the town of Oswegatchie.

The accident happened shortly before 4 p.m.

The cause of the collision, which left one car atop of a snow bank, is still being investigated by state police.

Three out of four people involved in the accident were transported to Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center for minor injuries. Among those injured was a woman in her mid-to-late sixties, Morristown Fire Chief Kevin J. Crosby said.

The accident caused damage to road signs. State Department of Transpiration crews were on the scene to assess the damage shortly after 4:30 p.m.

U.S. Border Patrol agents assisted state police and Morristown Fire and Rescue crews.

The names of the victims have not yet been released by state police.
