Clayton woman accused of storage unit theft

CLAYTON — A Clayton woman was arrested Tuesday after state police said she tried to sell stolen items that she took unlawfully from her storage unit.

Heather E. Wiley, 34, of 32191 Macomb Settlement Road, was arrested 7:07 p.m. Tuesday and charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Police said the property was stored at The Space Place, 26470 Route 11, Evans Mills. According to police, Trevor Eassa, of 671 Cooper St., Watertown, was given permission to store the items in Ms. Wiley’s storage unit. Police said a toy train valued at $300 and a flat-screen TV valued at $100, both belonging to Mr. Eassa, were taken by Ms. Wiley, who then allegedly attempted to sell them.

She was issued an appearance ticket for Lyme Town Court.
