A Watertown woman was charged by city police with multiple counts in connection with a domestic disturbance.

City police say Lindsey L. Watson, 28, of 142 Mechanic St., Apt. 708, struck David E. Priest, Jr., of 142 Mechanic St. Apt. 709, with an open hand around 7:55 p.m. Tuesday. Additionally, police say Ms. Watson violated an order of protection issued by Judge Eugene Renzi in Watertown City Court in November.

Ms. Watson was charged with first-degree criminal contempt and second-degree harassment at 8:41 p.m. Tuesday at 142 Mechanic St.

She was transported to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building and held pending arraignment.
