Potsdam –Funeral services for Carson E. McCuen, 74, of Noyes Road, will be held on Thurs., Dec. 5th at 1:30 PM at the Lawrence Funeral Home, Canton with Rev. Robert Schirmer officiating.

There will be no calling hours at the funeral home. Burial will be in White Church Cemetery.

Carson was born October 27, 1939, in Potsdam, a son of Roy J. and Ruby (Casselman) McCuen.

He worked on the home farm on the Church Road for a number of years before working for C.D.P. He later worked on the ATC Farm until its closing, at which time he transferred to the Maintenance Department at SUNY Canton (retiring in 1995).

Surviving are his companion, Jeanne Degagne of Potsdam; his son, Roy of Canton and his grandson, Shawn Ethan McCuen.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Leo and Lyle and sisters, Dorothy, Rose and Betty.

Carson will be remembered for his knowledge and love of the farm, hunting, equipment, field work and saw mills.

Memorial contributions are suggested to White Church Cemetery Association or the Diabetes Foundation.
