CANTON — Alexandra M. Jacobs and Andreas Wilke, Potsdam, were married in a civil ceremony on Aug. 10, 2012, in Berlin, Germany. They renewed their vows at 3 p.m. on Aug. 10 in Gunnison Memorial Chapel, St. Lawrence University, with the Rev. David Van Epps officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Walter W. and Judy Goodfriend Jacobs, Mannsville. The groom is the son of Klaus and Ilse Wilke, Berlin, Germany.

Gretchen Jacobs, Pittsburgh, Pa., was her sister’s maid of honor. Brianna Draper, Watertown, was honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Jillian Goodrich, Sackets Harbor, cousin of the bride, Alison Hay, Boston, Mass., Leslie McDermott, New York City, and Jessica Winters, Belleville.

Rui Mata, Berlin, was best man. Groomsmen were Scott Goodrich, Sackets Harbor, cousin of the bride, Karthik Panchanathan, Columbia, Mo., and Peter Todd, Bloomington, Ind.

A reception was held at The 1844 House, Potsdam.

Mrs. Wilke graduated in 2003 from Belleville Henderson Central School, Belleville, and in 2007 from Wagner College, Staten Island, with a bachelor’s degree in English, minoring in journalism and religious studies. She is a communications and government relations associate for SUNY Potsdam.

Mr. Wilke graduated in 1995 with an Abitur from Arndt Gymnasium, Berlin, in 2002 earned a diploma in psychology (equivalent of a master’s degree) from Free University of Berlin and completed his Ph.D. in 2006 from Max Planck Institute for Human Development, Berlin. He is an assistant professor of psychology for Clarkson University, Potsdam.

The couple resides at 15 Waverly St., Potsdam.
