CAR-DEER ACCIDENT - WINTHROP - Massena-based state police said Earl S. McBride, 64, of Barrett Road, Winthrop, was southbound on County Route 49 in the town of Hopkinton at 9:40 p.m. Thursday when he struck a deer. A passenger in his vehicle, Deborah McBride, 57, same address, was treated on scene by Tri-Town Rescue for a complaint of neck pain attributed to air bag deployment.

STOLEN PROPERTY - PLATTSBURGH - Two Massena women face additional charges stemming from a shoplifting incident Wednesday in Plattsburgh. Plattsburgh-based state police charged Tanika L. McGregor, 18, and Bobbie Jo Larock, 34, both of Massena, with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property on Thursday stemming from their investigation into a shoplifting incident on Wednesday. They had previously been charged with petit larceny and sixth-degree conspiracy after troopers to a shoplifting complaint at 5:34 p.m. off Smithfield Boulevard in Plattsburgh. They were both arraigned in local court Wednesday and sent to the Clinton County Jail. They have since been released from custody.

DWAI DRUGS - FORT COVINGTON - Malone-based state police charged Linda M. Dafoe, 54, of Norfolk with driving while ability impaired by drugs and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle following a property damage accident at 12:48 p.m. Thursday on Route 37 in the town of Fort Covington.

PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT - NORFOLK - State police investigated a number of property damage accidents around the region on Thursday. Among those:

■ Jamie L. Bodway, 35, of Winthrop at 11:34 p.m. Thursday on state Route 420, near Brouse Road, in the town of Norfolk.
