FORCIBLE TOUCHING - MASSENA - Village police charged James K. Morris, 71, of 63 Sycamore St., Massena, with forcible touching at 7:55 p.m. Thursday. The charge stemmed from an incident approximately two weeks prior to Nov. 11 when Morris allegedly walked up behind a 20-year-old female acquaintance, grabbed both of her breasts and then put his hand down her tank top and touched her bare breasts. The woman described Morris as her ex-boyfriend and said she had lived with him for a period of time prior to moving out although she had remained friendly with him. She told police he had visited her for approximately two hours on Nov. 11 and before leaving he had trapped her in her chair in the corner of the room. She said she told him no and turned away but he still kissed her on the lips. The female, in her statement to police, said Morris has also threatened to rape her in the past and had touched her inappropriately on a nearly daily basis when they were in a relationship. The charge was lodged after an arrest warrant was signed by the Massena village justice.

DWI - MASSENA - Village police charged Heather M. Kirby, 27, of 92 state Route 345, Potsdam, with driving while intoxicated after she was reportedly found slumped over the steering wheel with her vehicle running at 1:03 a.m. Friday in the Harte Haven Shopping Center parking lot. She was also charged with obstruction of governmental administration, unlawful possession of marijuana and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle on a public highway. Police said Kirby was transported to Massena Memorial Hospital after being taken into police custody, but she was later returned to the police station and remained in the village lockup late Friday morning. Police said their invcstigation into the incident is continuing.

INADEQUATE HEADLIGHT - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Jenna L. Young, 21, of East Hatfield Street, Massena, for operating a vehicle with an inadequate headlight at 9:40 p.m. Thursday following a traffic stop on South Main Street.

INADEQUATE HEADLIGHT - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Darin P. Delosh, 43, of Jefferson Avenue, Massena, for operating a vehicle with an inadequate headlight at 9:38 p.m. Thursday following a traffic stop on South Raquette River Road.

EXPIRED REGISTRATION - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Kenneth W. McQuoid, 27, of Douglas Road, Massena, for operation of an unregistered motor vehicle at 9:03 p.m. Thursday following a traffic stop on the Parker Avenue bridge.

SPEEDING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Benjamin D. Miller III, 17, of James Street, Massena, for speed in zone at 8:30 p.m. Thursday following a traffic stop on the Parker Avenue bridge.

FAILURE TO YIELD - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Mathier Cadieux, 19, of Marlborough St., Cornwall, Ont., with failure to yield the right of way at 8:10 p.m. Thursday following an incident in the Harte Haven Shopping Plaza.
