Jennifer J. Caddick, former executive director of Save the River, Clayton, is moving to Chicago, Ill., to work for the Alliance for the Great Lakes as the nonprofit’s engagement director.

This position was created for Ms. Caddick, who is moving next week to Chicago and begins her new role on Monday. As the organization’s engagement director, she will be developing communications programs and strategy for the alliance.

Since 1970, the Alliance for the Great Lakes has been advocating for the protection and restoration of the Great Lakes, the world’s largest surface freshwater resource, according to the group’s website.

Ms. Caddick led Save the River’s effort to promote environmental restoration and protection of Lake Ontario, the St. Lawrence River and the surrounding region for six years, from 2006 to 2012.
