WEST TURIN Lewis County sheriffs deputies have brought additional charges against a 25-year-old Turin man arrested last month after he allegedly attempted to gain entry into a seasonal camp on Smith Road.
Joseph G. Hutchins, Route 26, initially was charged with third-degree felony criminal mischief and third-degree trespass after deputies were alerted by two hunters in the area.
Mr. Hutchins now has been charged with possession of burglars tools and endangering the welfare of a child, both Class A misdemeanors. Deputies said his 4-month-old son was in the vehicle when the crimes were committed. He is to answer the charges in West Turin Town Court.
