Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Calhoun Jr., 25 years


REDWOOD — Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Calhoun Jr., 45778 Barnes Settlement Road, celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary Oct. 12 with a party at LaFargeville American Legion with family and friends.

Mr. Calhoun, son of Sally Calhoun, Redwood, and Robert Calhoun Sr., LaFargeville, and Sara J. Gamble, daughter of Elmer and Mary Gamble, Alexandria Bay, were married on Dec. 2, 1988, at the Clayton Methodist Church with the Rev. DeGrott officiating. Honor attendants were Greg Wills, Redwood, and Melinda (Johnson) Bechaz, Clayton.

Mr. Calhoun graduated in 1985 from Thousand Islands Central School, Clayton. He has worked for Johnson Sand and Gravel since 2005.

Mrs. Calhoun graduated in 1985 from Alexandria Central School, Alexandria Bay. She has worked at the Alexandria Bay Big M for 30 years and is currently the store’s dairy manager. Mrs. Calhoun is a member of Theresa Bowling Women’s League, where she has served as treasurer for two years, and enjoys spending time with family.

The couple has one son and future daughter-in-law, Zachary R. and Magdalene M. Richmond, Redwood; and a daughter, Rachael A. Calhoun, Redwood.
