NORFOLK - Madrid-Waddington student Kaden Pickering scored in the first and final minute of the third period as host Norwood-Norfolk pulled away to a 4-0 win over OFA in NAC Division II action on Friday night.

Gunnar Brown and Coby Munson in the first and second period for the 2-0 Flyers with Austin Cousineau assisting on both.

“They are good sakting team but we stayed with most of the time. We made two mental mistakes and they capitalized to take a 2-0 lead. We jusrt aren’t scoring goals right now so that made it very difficult for us to come back,” said OFA Coach Jon Frederick after his team suffered its second straight NAC Division II loss.

“We just have to keep working and find some scoring. We have another Division II game on Monday against St. Lawrence Central.”

Brandon Richards posted a 17-save shutout for N-N and Dave Prudhomme handled 26 shots for OFA.

In other NAC action Auburn nipped Canton 1-0 and Ithaca downed Potsdam 5-1 in the Potsdam Booster Club Tournament, West Genessee blanked Massena 4-0 at the WG Tournament and Salmon River tied Skaneateles 3-3.
