Bryan J. Gedbaw Jr., 28, of Alexandria Bay, was ticketed Friday at 12:02 p.m. for following too closely after a two-car collision on Greene Street. Ogdensburg police identified the other motorist as Ilene R. Lashomb, 26, of 629 Franklin St.


Shawn M. Thornhill, 37, of 1726 County Route 15, Heuvelton, was ticketed Friday at 10:50 a.m. on Albany Avenue for second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and no/inadequate stop lamp, city police said.


Ogdensburg police Friday at 10:40 a.m. received a complaint from a Main Street resident about a possible mail scam. Police should be notified of any suspicious mail, email or telephone activity by calling 393-1551. Police also remind residents to never give out personal information such as date of birth, Social Security number, credit card or banking information, and be cautious when asked to send money as payment for a traffic violation in a location you haven’t been to.


Sara A. Myers, 33, of 718 State St., was ticketed Friday at 7:37 a.m. at Lafayette and Park streets for unregistered motor vehicle and failure to stop at a stop sign, city police said.
