OGDENSBURG - The St. Lawrence Central boys hockey team dropped a 3-2 NAC Division II decision on the road to OFA on Monday.
After a scoreless first period, the host Blue Devils built a quick 2-0 lead in the second period on goals by Jon Tayler, the first an unassisted power play tally at 4:48, and the second assisted by Burke Comeau at the 7:25 mark.
The Larries got on the board with eight seconds left in the middle frame when Lukas Arquiett finished off a play set up by Kody Kocsis and Luke Peets but Comeau restored the two-goal lead with an unassisted goal at 7:24 of the third period. Arquiett connected just over two minutes later off an assist from Kocsis to make it 3-2.
Nate Burnett turned aside 21 shots for SLC (0-2, 0-1) while David Prudhomme made 21 saves for OFA (2-3, 1-2).
The Larries host a non-league game against Clarkstown on Friday at 7 p.m.
