A Watertown man and a Sackets Harbor woman were arrested by city police for their alleged roles in the violation of an order of protection.

Andrea L. Cain, 46, of 80 Knobby Knoll, Apt. 5, was accused of soliciting Scott A. Casario, 45, of 513 Olive St., Upper Apt., into violating a stay-away order of protection issued by Judge Catherine J. Palermo in Watertown City Court.

According to police, Mr. Casario was in the presence of Ms. Cain at his Olive Street residence. Police said Ms. Cain was aware of the order of protection and was knowingly and intentionally at Mr. Casario’s residence.

She was arrested at 12:04 a.m. Tuesday at the Olive Street residence and charged with fourth-degree criminal solicitation. She was held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building on $1,000 cash bail pending arraignment in City Court.

Mr. Casario was arrested at 11:53 p.m. Monday at the same location and charged with first-degree criminal contempt. He was charged in the first degree because of a prior conviction of second-degree criminal contempt as a result of violating an order of protection out of City Court in November.

He was held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building on $1,000 cash bail pending arraignment in City Court.
