Mannsville woman accused of leaving scene of accident

City police Tuesday accused Angela L. Grimshaw, 37, of 2831 County Route 87, Mannsville, with leaving the scene of an accident.

According to police, Ms. Grimshaw was driving on Thompson Boulevard near the intersection of Gotham Street when she left the roadway and went onto the property of James O. LaPlante, 296 Thompson Blvd. Police said she then attempted to leave the scene of the accident, which had caused significant damage to Ms. Grimshaw’s vehicle and had damaged trees and torn up the lawn.

She was arrested at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building and charged with leaving scene of an incident without reporting, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and driving at an unreasonable speed.

Ms. Grimshaw was ordered to appear in City Court.
