FALSIFYING BUSINESS RECORDS - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Travis M. McGregor, 19, of Massena with second-degree falsifying business records and petit larceny after responding to a larceny complaint at 5:02 p.m. Wednesday at the St. Lawrence Centre mall. Troopers said McGregor, an employee at Sear’s at the time of the incidents, removed $50 from a cash register on Dec. 7, $50 on Dec. 8 and $100 on Dec. 10.

PETIT LARCENY - POTSDAM - Canton-based state police charged Reed A. Vanderlinde, 17, of Dover, N.H., and Meghan S. Meyerson, 17, of Lagrangeville with petit larceny after responding to a shoplifting complaint at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Potsdam Walmart.

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Sylvia E. McDonald, 39, of Long Sault, Ont., with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and having a controlled substance in a non-original container following a secondary inspection by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the U.S. port of entry in Rooseveltown. Troopers said she was found in possession of approximately 50 hydromorphone pills in two different colors. Police said she had more pills than were listed on the prescription she had in her possession.

PETIT LARCENY - MALONE - Malone-based state police charged Brooke L. Mardino, 33, of Moira with petit larceny after responding to a shoplifting complaint at 1:36 p.m. Wednesday at the Malone Walmart.

PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT - CANTON - State police from around the region investigated a number of property damage accidents around the region on Wednesday. Among those:

■ Amanda L. Putney, 20, of Lisbon at 7:08 p.m. on County Route 27, near Sykes Road, in the town of Canton.

■ Jayden R. Pernice, 26, of Norfolk at 10:23 p.m. on River Road, near Austin Ridge Road, in the town of Potsdam.
