A St. Lawrence University graduate was elected recently to the U.S. House of Representatives.
Katherine M. Clark, 50, of Melrose, Mass., was chosen in a special election Tuesday to fill the seat vacated by Edward J. Markey, who was elected to the Senate in June to replace John F. Kerry.
Ms. Clark has been a Massachusetts state legislator since 2008.
She attended St. Lawrence University from 1981 to 1985.
She is the second SLU graduate in Congress, joining Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine.
