CANTON - The sixth Fastest Kid In the North Country event will be held as partof the St. Lawrence University Holiday Relay Meet on Saturday at the Newell Field House.
The Fastest Kid in the North Country competition promotes track and field in the North Country, whilegiving back to the community. Track races will be held for ages 2-6 (55 Meter Dash) and 7-10 (200 Meter Dash).
Kids may enter the competition from 10:45am - 11am on Saturday morning and the races are scheduledto begin at 11:10.m. A cash donation or a non-perishable food item is requested from each participant.
All proceeds will benefit the Canton Church and Community Programs.
Awards will be presented immediately following the final race of each age group
candy canes will be given out to all participants, with champions earning commemorative awards and the title Fastest Kid in the North Country!
