LOWVILLE- Donna D. Moser, 77, formerly of Brookside Senior Living Community, Lowville, died Thursday morning, December 12, 2013 at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown.

The funeral will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at the First Mennonite Church, New Bremen, with Pastor Bruce Chartrand, officiating. Spring burial will be in the Kirschnerville Mennonite Cemetery. Calling hours are Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 4 – 7 p.m. at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville. Contributions may be made to Mennonite Central Committee, 21 S. 12th Street, P.O. Box 500, Akron, PA 17501-0500.

She is survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Caroline and Ellis Detweiler of Harrisonburg, VA, Lila Ovando of Beaver Falls and her companion Joseph Noftsier; a brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Donna Moser of Beaver Falls; a sister-in-law, Belva Moser of Castorland; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her parents, by a brother, Marvin Moser and a nephew Lawson Moser.

Donna was born on May 25, 1936 in the Town of Croghan, NY, a daughter of the late Jacob and Nina Lehman Moser and graduated from Beaver River Central School. She attended Goshen College, and received her nursing degree in Indianapolis, Indiana. Donna worked for Lewis County General Hospital as a registered nurse, before making her home in Goshen, Indiana, where she worked at Goshen Hospital, and later retired from Mennonite Mutual Aid Insurance Company (now Everance) as a Health Claims Supervisor after many years of service. She moved back to the area in the 1980’s, making her home at Steepleview Courts in Croghan. While vacationing in Florida she took sick, and lived in Florida for over two years, before returning to Lowville to live at Brookside Senior Living Community.

Donna was a member of First Mennonite Church, New Bremen. She enjoyed NASCAR, and watching and attending the Indy 500. She was a horse race fan. Donna enjoyed card games with friends at Brookside.
