LOUISVILLE- Kathryn M. Tyo, 77 of Willard Road passed away on Dec. 13, 2013 at Massena Memorial Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Dec. 17, 2013 at 10:00 am at St. Lawrence Church in Louisville with Rev. Donald J. Manfred. Burial will be held in the Parish Cemetery in the spring.

Friends and family may be received on Monday, Dec. 16, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Phillips Memorial Home in Massena. Kathryn was born on September 5, 1936 in Bombay, NY the daughter of Clifford and Marie (LaLonde) Trippany. On November 14, 1953 she married Bernard F. Tyo at St. Lawrence Church with Rev. Wilfred Nugent presiding. Mr. Tyo predeceased her on May 19, 2010. She is survived by her three children, Randall, Jane M. Tyo both of Massena and Tracy L. Tyo of Naples, Fl., several nieces and nephews; a brother Lawrence and wife Beulah Trippany of Massena, sister Betty Smith of Canton, and sister in-law Mary Trippany of Canton. She was predeceased by a infant son Richard and brothers, Carl, James, Allen, Charles, and sister’s Ruth LaDue, Helen LePage. Kathryn was a member of the Altar Rosary of St. Lawrence Church, charter member of Louisville Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, past member of Massena Home Bureau of Massena. After her husbands retirement she and Bernard spent many winters in Davenport, FL. Memorial contributions may be made to Charity Ones’s Choice.
