Alyse W. Segouin


A private memorial services for Alyse W. Segouin age 81 of Hammond, will be held in the spring at a time to be announced. Mrs. Segouin passed away Friday (Dec 13, 2013) at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center. Burial will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Hammond.

Surviving is her son Larry Segouin & his wife Mary Lu of Peoria, AZ; grandchildren Brian Segouin, Kristopher Johnston & Kenneth Johnston all of AZ; 7 great-grandchildren; a sister Denise Pitcher of Hammond along with nieces, nephews & cousins. Her husband Maurice Segouin and a sister Betty Lou Wilson predeceased her.

Alyse was born in the town of Hammond on February 20, 1932, daughter of the late James & Stella (LaVack) Wilson. She graduated from Hammond School in 1949 and married Maurice R. Segouin on Oct 13, 1951 at St. Patrick’s Church in Hammond. The couple both worked for Eastman Kodak until January of 1956, when they relocated back to the North Country and returned to the family farm. During Alyse’s career she also worked for Mallotts General Store, the town of Hammond as Court Clerk, Deputy Town Clerk and secretary of the planning board for many years. She also spent countless hours working for the Hammond Elections Board over 30 years.
