Lisbon man accused of drug possession after head-on car crash

OSWEGATCHIE — State police charged Christopher L. Reynolds, 30, of 4042 Route 68, Lisbon, on Monday with second-degree reckless endangerment and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both misdemeanors, and possession of controlled substance in a non-original container, a violation.

Police allege that Mr. Reynolds caused a two-car, head-on collision on Route 68 in Oswegatchie when he was southbound and failed to keep right. No injuries were reported, police said.

During an interview with Mr. Reynolds, police said, they found 12 carisoprodol pills, a muscle relaxer, in a plastic bag in his pants pocket.

Mr. Reynolds was arraigned in Oswegatchie Town Court and was taken to St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, where he was being held on $3000 cash or $6,000 bond.
