COLTON - The Colton-Pierrepont boys and girls basketball teams suffered an NAC East Division sweep on their homecourt to their Chateaugay Central counterparts on Wednesday.
The visiting Bulldogs (2-2, 2-1) relayed a 28-3 second-quarter run into a 70-29 win as Chad Stalter anchored a balanced effort with 14 points. Nick Ashline and Noah Bowes added nine points apiece followed by Owen Henders with eight while Jared Martin and Austin each netted seven.
Riley Doyle paced the Colts (1-6, 0-4) with eight points followed by Scott Boyce with seven and Jeff Angleberger with six.
In the girls game, the Lady Bulldogs (3-1, 3-0) broke open a close game with a 22-6 second-quarter run before going on to post a 52-27 decision.
Kaitlin Miller led the winning effort with 13 points followed by Taylor Winch with 10 while Danielle Charland and Abbey Barnes each finished with six.
Morgan Doyle tossed through three three-pointers and eight free throws in producing a game-high 19 points for the Lady Colts (1-4, 1-3). Courtney Marsh netted another six points while Madison Gregg closed out the scoring with a field goal.
