GOUVERNEUR Village police officers arrested a Brodheadsville, Pa., man for allegedly robbing a Gouverneur couple Wednesday afternoon in a parking lot on Main Street.
Officers charged Christopher J. Klement, 19, with first-degree robbery, second-degree menacing and petit larceny.
He is accused of reaching through the window of a parked car occupied by Brian A. Simmons and his wife, Amber, and grabbing five to seven strips of Suboxone.
Police said Mr. Simmons chased after Mr. Klement, who turned around and threatened Mr. Simmons with a knife. Mr. Klement fled, but officers were able to track him down to a Park Street residence near the scene.
He was arraigned before Fowler Town Justice Paul M. Lamson and was sent to St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, on no bail pending further court proceedings.
