CANTON - St. Lawrence University senior linebacker Obi Nwaigwe was named a first team All-America by Beyond Sports Network.

The 2013 BSN All-America Team was chosen by collegiate sports information directors, college coaches and BSN staff. Nwaigwe is an All-America at defensive line.

Nwaigwe, who was previously named both First Team All-Liberty League and Second Team All-Region, led the conference in sacks, tackles for a loss and forced fumbles. He closed with 70 tackles in his final season while adding three pass break-ups. He finished the regular season in the top-5 nationally in both sacks and tackles for a loss.

Nwaigwe is also nominated for ECAC honors and D3football.com All-America status, both of which will be announced in the coming days.
