EAST DIVISION

Tupper Lake coach Steve Skiff has lots of respect for the Madrid-Waddington boys basketball program.

One reason is that they they just don’t give up.

“We jumped early in the first quarter but Madrid-Waddington came right back at us in the second and third quarters. They didn’t quit. But we played a very solid fourth as Anson Gagnier and Mitch Keniston each scored seven in a 17-point quarter,” said Skiff after his Lumberjacks notched a 53-45 decision over the Yellowjackets in the lone NAC East Division game played on Thursday.
