A section of Dry Hill Road in the town of Watertown was shut down on Friday night because of slippery conditions.
Before it was closed at about 8:45 p.m., a handful of vehicles slid off the road, between Swan and Cook roads. A Jefferson County Sheriffs deputy tried to get to the vehicles on foot, but the ice made him turn back.
No other information was available.
Several minor accidents also have been reported in Jefferson County.
