City police Monday arrested Brandon T. Rush, 30, of 214 Clinton St., Apt. 101 and charged him with second-degree assault and second-degree obstruction of governmental administration.
Police said Mr. Rush, who was being processed at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building for two counts of assaultone against a police officerand one count of harassment, also against an officer, punched officer Matthew J. Dawley in the face as he was fingerprinting Mr. Rush. Officer Dawley did not report any injuries.
At 2:30 p.m., Mr. Rush was charged and held on $25,000 cash bail pending arraignment in City Court.
