No ‘stand your ground’ in New York State

New York State’s new gun SAFE Act has, as of Nov. 20, created 885 new felons.

We do not know the content of the law, but the State Police (our sons, daughters, sisters, brothers, fathers, mothers, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, etc.) are arresting people at an alarming rate — and ignorance of the law is no excuse.

Wouldn’t it be great if there was some way to let the people of the state know what the laws are so law-abiding people would not be unwittingly turned into felons?

New York State does not allow self-defense. If a perp attacks a lady, she has to lay back and enjoy. No sense in fighting it; no sense in reporting it

She can’t use any self-defense: no mace, no pepper spray, she can’t even carry a club in her car, all against the law. She can try to get a pistol permit, but if successful and she shoots a perp she will be charged if she did not try to run away. No “stand your ground” in New York State.

Ladies, you should be concerned. Contact your legislators; get the right to protect yourselves. We should all have the right to protect ourselves. Oh, do you think the Mafia boys will obey the SAFE Act?
