Hermon man accused of criminal mischief, assault following alleged domestic dispute


HERMON — Trevor J. Reed, 34, of 302 Underwood Rd., Hermon, was charged by state police with third-degree criminal mischief, criminal obstruction of breathing and third-degree assault following an alleged domestic dispute early Monday morning.

Police said Mr. Reed was involved in a verbal dispute with his girlfriend at his residence. He is accused of causing $250 worth of damage to a piece of property belonging to the victim.

Police said the verbal argument became physical, and Mr. Reed is accused of striking his girlfriend and knocking a 42-inch flat screen to the floor, damaging it. He also is accused of choking his girlfriend, causing bruises around her neck.

Mr. Reed is scheduled to appear in Fowler Town Court.
