MADRID: Amy M. Harvey, 41 of State Highway 345, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 27, 2013 at Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 3, 2014 at 11:00 am at Phillips Memorial Home in Madrid, with lay speaker Larry Smith presiding. Friends and family may be received on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 at Phillips Memorial Home. Following the service there will be a luncheon for friends and family at the Madrid Community Center. Interment will be in Madrid Cemetery. Amy was born on March 25, 1972 in Ogdensburg the daughter of Wayne and Carolyn (Pike) LeBarge. Upon graduation Amy was employed at Heuvelton ICF and later at Dr. Robert Snider’s office, Massena, she then worked at Higley Builders, in Potsdam as a secretary and for the past five and a half years she was a Senior Account Clerk for St. Lawrence County. On June 28, 1997 she married George Harvey at Madrid United Methodist Church with Rev. Dora Schneider presiding. As a couple they enjoyed camping at Blake Lake, NY. Amy enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. She also enjoyed sewing for her family. She is survived by her husband George D., her father Wayne LeBarge of Lisbon, three sisters, Catherine LeBarge of Clifton Park, NY; Penny (Chris) Scott of Lisbon, Andrea (Luke) West of Clifton Springs, NY, several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and her family companion “Kipper”.
