DEXTER — Ryan Lamon hit one of two free throws with six seconds left, his only point of the game, to help General Brown rally from a double-digit halftime deficit and beat Lowville, 56-55, in a Frontier League “B’’ Division boys basketball game on Friday.

Chris Yarnall scored all nine of his points in the third quarter as General Brown (2-5) overcame a 14-point deficit at intermission.

Rob Pickeral scored 12 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and handed out five assists for the Lions, while Austin Giruzzi also scored 12 points and Nick Nortz added nine.

Kyle Malik paced Lowville (0-6) with a game-high 20 points and Dalton Rombough added 15.

COPENHAGEN 58, BEAVER RIVER 57

Connor Eddy scored 19 points as the Golden Knights held off the Beavers in a crossover game in Copenhagen.

Antonio Figueroa contributed 17 points and Brandon Moser chipped in 10 points for Copenhagen (4-3, 4-2), which never trailed.

Dustin Neddo scored a game-high 26 points and hauled in 10 rebounds, and Troy Purcell scored 11 points for the Beavers (0-7, 0-6).

CARTHAGE 68, SOUTH JEFFERSON 37

Keyan Pinnock led four players in double figures with 17 points as the unbeaten Comets rolled over the Spartans in a crossover game in Carthage.

Peyton McLaurin added 15 points, Walter Jeter 13 and JaeQuan McNeal had 11 for Carthage (6-0, 5-0), which took a 33-21 halftime lead then outscored South Jefferson 35-16 in the second half.

Bobby Lees and Troy Randall each scored six points for the Spartans (4-3).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

CARTHAGE 56, OFA 44

Lexi Smith finished with 13 points and six assists as the Comets earned a nonleague victory at Carthage.

Kendra Bates chipped in 12 points and seven rebounds, and Hannah Millich added 11 points and four steals for Carthage (5-2).

Riley Luckie supplied 18 points, and Megan Dodge scored 16 for Ogdensburg Free Academy (4-3).

LYME 59, MORRISTOWN 41

Enesa Ososkalo scored 19 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and had eight steals to propel the Indians to a nonleague win over the Green Rockets at Jefferson Community College.

Yanna Ososkalo contributed 18 points and seven steals, Allison Tarwater scored 13 points and Taylor Brown had 10 rebounds and six assists for Lyme (8-0).

Jesse Geddes led Morristown (3-4) with 12 points.

BEAVER RIVER 53, SANDY cREEK 8

Emma Puddington scored 14 points and the Beavers held the Comets (0-6, 0-5) scoreless in the second half en route to a Frontier League “C’’ Division win at Beaver Falls.

Kristin Campeau contributed 10 points and 11 rebounds for Beaver River (2-4).

VOLLEYBALL

SOUTH LEWIS 3, SANDY CREEK 0

Marissa Brown recorded eight kills, nine service points, three aces and four blocks to help the Falcons to a 31-29, 25-11, 25-15 Frontier League “C” Division win at Sandy Creek.

Chloe Stinebrickner chipped in with 29 assists and seven digs, and Zoe Shepherd supplied 12 kills and nine points for South Lewis (6-1, 5-1).

Maggie King finished with two kills and four digs for Sandy Creek (5-1).

WRESTLING

LOWVILLE 42, COPENHAGEN 32

Tyler Widrick recorded a pin at 113 pounds and the host Red Raiders (2-2) accepted four forfeits en route to a Frontier League interdivision win at Lowville.

Brenden Jacobs earned a pin at 132 for the Golden Knights (0-4, 0-1).
