Tammy L. Charleston, 45, of 633 Heath Road, Potsdam, was charged with petit larceny in connection with a Dec. 2 theft from Sears, Salmon Run Mall, Route 3.

According to state police, nearly $879 worth of merchandise was stolen from the store. In addition to Ms. Charleston, Patricia J. Tyo, 31, of 182 Route 345, Potsdam, was charged with petit larceny in connection to the alleged theft.

Ms. Charleston was arrested Sunday and Ms. Tyo was arrested Dec. 8, both at the state police barracks in Pamelia. Both were issued appearance tickets for Watertown Town Court.
