Lillian B. Patchin


Graveside services for Lillian B. Patchin, age 87, of the Moreland Road, will be held in the spring in Ogdensburgh Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are being handled by Frary Funeral Home. Mrs. Patchin passed away on Friday, January 3, 2014 at her home unexpectedly.

Lillian is survived by one sister, June McCoy, of Ogdensburg, many neices and nephews and her long time companion, Maggie, the dog.

Lillian was born on August 8, 1926 in Ogdensburg NY the daughter of Henry and Lillian Kelly Lesperance and was raised by Leah Coonard. Mrs. Patchin graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy. She married Bernard Patchin on September 29, 1952 at St. John’s Episcopal Church with her brother, Father Ralph E. Coonrad, officiating. He predeceased her on June 17, 2004. Lillian first went to work for Acco and then later on became one of the first woman police officers in Ogdensburg. Mrs. Patchin then took a job at the State Hospital as a secretary where she retired from.

Lillian was a past member of St. John’s Episcopal Church and the Moose Lodge.

She enjoyed playing cards.
