LOWVILLEVillage police arrested a Carthage man after he was issued an appearance ticket for a prior arrest, but reportedly did not show up in court.
Curtis J. Bresett, 26, of Sherman Street, was originally arrested on May 1 and accused of misapplication of property. According to police, he rented a washer and dryer from Quality Rental and Sales, 7577 S. State St., and failed to either make the payments or return the appliances.
He was issued an appearance ticket for Village Court, but failed to attend.
He was arrested on a warrant by the Jefferson County Sheriffs Department and turned over to Village Police. He was arraigned in Village Court and remanded to the Lewis County jail on $1,000 cash bail.
