ALEXANDRIA BAY- Dorothy M. Dot Siewertson, 102, of Seaway Avenue died Thursday, January 9, 2014 at River Hospital, Alexandria Bay.
Born September 4, 2011 in Theresa, she was the daughter of Edwin W. and Ella M. Montondo West and attended Theresa High School.
She married Julius H. Jude Siewertson on June 20, 1931 at the Theresa United Methodist Church with Rev. Clarence Hastings officiating.
The couple had a farm in Theresa and Philadelphia for thirty years. Mrs. Siewertson was also employed with the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown and for Andrew McNally on Wellesley Island. In 1975 they built their home on Seaway Avenue. Mr. Siewertson died April 14, 1998.
Mrs. Siewertson enjoyed gardening and visiting with family and friends. She was a past member of the Philadelphia Order of the Easter Star and member of the Philadelphia United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two nephews, Daniel West and his wife, Cindy, and John Snyder; four nieces, Cindy Rowe and her husband, Gary, Terry Goyer and her husband Kevin, Jean Siewertson and Carol Levondoski; several great and great great nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law, Grace West, Theresa and Blanche Siewertson, LaFargeville.
A son, Edwin, her husband, Jude, a sister, Edna Barker and a brother, Kent West died before her.
There will be no services at Mrs. Siewertsons request. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in the spring.
