Jennifer L. McSurdy, 36, of 723 Franklin St., Apt. 1, was arrested at her residence Tuesday morning on multiple charges after city police said she misused food stamps and committed welfare fraud.
She was charged at 9:08 a.m. Tuesday with third-degree welfare fraud, third-degree grand larceny, misuse of food stamps, third-degree forgery and three counts of first-degree offering a false instrument. All but the forgery charge are felonies.
She was transported to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, where she was processed and held pending arraignment in City Court.
