LOWVILLE A Poughkeepsie man was arrested Wednesday after village police said he failed to appear in court for sentencing.
Michael A. Bauer, 33, was being sentenced Nov. 8 after pleading guilty to a charge of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was accused of stealing two revolvers from the residence of Randolph Bauer, Greig, in 2012.
However, police said, Mr. Bauer failed to appear in County Court for his sentencing and as a result, a warrant was issued by Judge Daniel R. King for his arrest.
Mr. Bauer was arrested and charged with second-degree bail jumping. He was remanded to Lewis County jail on $5,000 cash bail.
