Dandrow scores 1000th career point for Edwards-Knox

A third quarter three-pointer secured Edwards-Knox’s Kaden Dandrow his 1000 career point in a 75-46 win over Hammond in West Division Boys Basketball action on Tuesday.

Lisbon topped Hermon-DeKalb 48-32 to stay unbeaten in the NAC West while Morristown denied Harrisville 47-39 and Heuvelton rolled past Clifton-Fine 56-13.

E-K 75, Hammond 46: The Cougars (6-4, 5-2 NAC West) received 34 points from Kaden Dandrow who joined the E-K 1000-Point Club which includes Bryan Harmer (81-84), Ryan White (88-91), Jamie Wood (01-04), and John Hogle (84-88). Dan Pharoah added 16 points while Jeremiah Randall added 15 more.

Payton Frisina provided 14 points for Hammond (3-6, 2-6 NAC West). Zech Cunningham added 13 points while Brock Tulley added eight.

Lisbon 48, H-D 32: At DeKalb Junction, the Golden Knights (9-1, 7-0 NAC West) pulled away with a 15-1 fourth quarter run against the improving Demons (2-10, 1-7 NAC West).

“Lisbon picked up the defense in the fourth quarter. We had some good looks but they didn’t fall, Donnie Duprey had a big basket early and they ran with it,” said H-D coach Clay Denesha whose Demons played without starting point guard Reilly O’Donnell.

Jim Robinson scored 17 points and Donnie Duprey added 10 pacing Lisbon which led 33-31 after three quarters. Jake Putney added eight.

Trevor Rolfe hit three threes for H-D in a 11 point effort while Cody Merritt scored nine.

Morristown 47, Harrisville 39: With the possiblity of Nate Weaver and Jared Dreythaler gone for the rest of the season, the Pirates (6-4, 4-2 NAC West) lost another player as Zane Mono recently hurt his ACL in his knee and Morristown took advantage.

“We ran out gas in the third quarter and Morristown took over. Its tough replacing 32-40 points per game,” said Harrisville Brian Coloney after his Pirates were outscored 17-9 in the third.

Devin Dulmage scored 14 points for Morristown (6-22, 5-2 NAC West). Ryan Vollmer added 13 and Jake VanArnam added eight. Tim Fowler scored 16 for Harrisville and Brendan Best added 15.

Heuvelton 56, C-F 13: In Heuvelton, a 20-2 third quarter explosion broke open a 23-5 halftime lead by Heuvelton (5-5, 4-2 NAC West) as Jeff Arquitt scored 10 points including two threes. Zach Lashomb tallied nine with a three and Mike Martin posted seven. Dylan Liscum added six. Jake Folsom scored six for C-F (0-9, 0-7 NAC West).
